Author’s response

I am glad that Dr. Schiff is happy with his school’s adoption of digital radiography, and I am sure that many other digital converts are happy with their decision. I am not swayed, however, by his anecdotal testimony about "making enhanced diagnosis of pathology" and that "the diagnostic quality has improved exponentially." Indeed, claims by university professors, continuing education speakers, institute directors and manufacturers’ representatives should be substantiated with data.
