Dr. Kevin D. Anderson, Jamul, Calif., was elected Dentist of the Year by the California Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. A. Jack Harrell III, Kinston, S.C., received the Citizenship Award from the Southern Association of Orthodontists. Dr. William R. Proffit, Chapel Hill, N.C.; and Dr. Thomas D. Pryse, Knoxville, Tenn., won Distinguished Service Awards.

Dr. Kevin Roach, Ontario, Canada, was elected president of the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Howard I. Mark, West Hartford, Conn., is vice president. Dr. Gary Lowder, Ogden, Utah, is immediate past president.

Dr. Steven H. Tinsworth, Bradenton, Fla., was elected president of the Southern Association of Orthodontists. Other officers are Dr. Steven G. Garrett, Winchester, Va., president-elect; and Dr. Tim S. Trulove, Montgomery, Ala., secretary-treasurer. Dr. Wayne M. Bauknight, Lancaster, S.C., is immediate past president.
