ADA MEMBER.NET E-MAIL SERVICE
E-mail may be the Internets "killer app"the application that defines the most compelling use of the mediumbut with the amount of spam sent worldwide increasing each month and legal measures to stem the flow apparently ineffective, it would seem theres not much positive to report in the world of electronic mail.
But heres some good news from your Association: the ADA offers a tool that can help you better organize your inbox and advertise your membership in the worlds largest national dental association at the same time. Through the ADAMember. net e-mail forwarding service, ADA members can sign up for an "ADAMember.net" e-mail address that will forward mail to an existing e-mail account at no cost.
Once established, patients, professional contacts, family and friends can use your "ADAMember. net" address to reach you, significantly decreasing the potential for confusion or breakdowns in communication regardless of how many times you switch your home or office Internet service provider.
You also can use your permanent "ADAMember.net" e-mail address to market yourself as an ADA member actively, displaying the address on business cards, letterhead and promotional materials and in the ADA Member Directory.
And rest assured, the Association does not have access to any member e-mail correspondence.
To register for this member benefit, visit "www.ada.org/members/e_forward/index.asp". As part of the registration process, youll be asked to select a user name for your new "ADAMember.net" address and to provide the e-mail address of the existing account to which youd like your e-mail forwarded. It will take about 24 hours for your new e-mail address to become active.
