As one of the "aging faculty member[s] designated as curator," I was bemused by Dr. Meskin’s editorial, "Hidden Treasure" (May JADA). I congratulate him on bringing this topic to the attention of the profession.
I was, however, astonished that no mention was made of the Web site or postal address of The Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry, omissions that will surely affect the plea for funding!
Are you aware that there is a Canadian National Dental Museum at the University of Ottawa, and that the Harris Museum is listed in "A Directory of the History of Medicine Collections," compiled by the National Library of Medicine?
