AMALGAM SAFETY

Congratulations to Dr. John E. Dodes and JADA for publishing a milestone study on amalgam safety ("The Amalgam Controversy: An Evidence-Based Analysis," March JADA). I think every dentist should read it, so perhaps copies could be sent free of charge to all the American dentists who don’t receive JADA.

Mark Twain once said, "A lie can travel halfway round the world while the truth is putting on its shoes." For the sake of American dental patients’ health, Dr. Dodes’ amalgam article deserves some fine running shoes. I’ll be glad to see my dues dollars doing such important work.
