Dr. Thomas J. McGarry, Oklahoma City, was installed as president of the American College of Prosthodontists. Other officers are Dr. David A. Felton, Chapel Hill, N.C., president-elect; Dr. Jonathan L. Ferencz, New York, vice president; Dr. Kenneth A. Malament, Boston, secretary; and Dr. Richard E. Jones, Munster, Ind., treasurer. Dr. Arthur Nimmo, Farmington, Mich., is immediate past president.
Dr. Mark Paxton, Spokane, Wash., was appointed president of the Washington State Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Society.
Dr. Irwin Smigel, New York, has given his name to the Irwin Smigel Prize in Aesthetic Dentistry, which was presented by the New York University College of Dentistry to Dr. Ronald E. Goldstein, Atlanta, the first recipient.
