POSTOPERATIVE SENSITIVITY

With due respect to the authors ("Clinical Evaluation of Amalgam Bonding in Class I and II Restorations," January JADA), I have seen postoperative sensitivity associated with new amalgam restorations go from a [frequent] occurrence to nil since I started bonding amalgams these past 10 years.

Postoperative sensitivity is a thing of the past. Not to bond is to give our patients less.
