CORRECTION
The article "Permanent Nerve Involvement Resulting From Inferior Alveolar Nerve Blocks," published by Drs. M. Anthony Pogrel and Sri Thamby in July JADA, contained some errors.
- In the abstract, the second sentence in the Results section should have read, "In 47 patients, the causative inferior alveolar nerve block was painful when administered, but to the other 36 patients, it felt like a normal injection."
- The last sentence in the Discussion section of the abstract should have read, "The 34 percent incidence of dysesthesia in the patients in this study is of concern."
- The second paragraph in the Results section of the article should have begun, "Seventy-seven patients were given the causative injection by a general dental practitioner."
- Finally, a second patient photo should have appeared in Figure 1.
