A patient survey of denture tolerance before and after a mandibular vestibuloplasty with skin grafting

HM Landesman and B Levin

Thirty-six patients were examined by two prosthodontistis after a mandibular vestibuloplasty with skin grafting to determine whether there was a significant improvement in these patients ability to tolerate their dentures. Previous published reports have been made only by oral surgeons. The results indicate that this procedure is a reliable treatment modality for patients who complain of looseness, poor masticatory function, and pain.
